Tom Greenhaw
A Glenview native
Tom Greenhaw is a software entrepreneur and sustainability advocate. Tom was raised in Glenview and attended OLPH, Hoffman, Springman, and Glenbrook South. Tom is the founder of a retail-focused technology business, and over the last decade he has worked with hundreds of retailers to improve their operations and reduce costs through the use of technology.
An environmentalist
Tom is also passionate about nature and environmental causes, which he attributes to his time as a Boy Scout in Troop 57. He returned to the classroom and completed the University of Chicago’s Leadership in Sustainability Management program in 2015, where he focused his research on reducing pharmaceutical pollution in waterways. He has been a leader in advocating for innovative stormwater management solutions, helping to draft state legislation that would create incentives for the greater use of green infrastructure to minimize flooding. He serves as a board member for Friends of the Forest Preserves, and as a committee member for conservation non-profit Openlands.
"A change is needed..."
Asked why he is running for Trustee, Greenhaw said “Glenview residents deserve a choice in elected leadership at the Village level. Between embarrassing news reports about the Village’s spending, losing taxpayer dollars on the Bess Hardware land deal, and dithering when it comes to voter’s overwhelming support for Cook County ordinances providing sick leave and an increased minimum wage to workers, it is clear something must change. If elected, I will always listen to residents and ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely.”

"Leadership should reflect diversity..."
In response to the question of why she was running for Glenview Village Trustee, Dia replied, “The same political party has controlled Glenview’s Board of Trustees since 2001. Since that time only three women have served on the Village Board of Trustees. Currently, nearly 83% of the positions on the Village Board and Glenview’s various Commissions are held by men. I feel strongly that leadership in Glenview should more closely reflect the diversity of the residents of the Village.”

Cathy Wilson
An educator, marketer, and technology executive
Cathy Wilson has built a successful career in education, marketing, and technology. After teaching Spanish and coaching at a high school in Atlanta, she moved to Glenview in 1994 to work at Pearson Education (then ScottForesman) to develop and market world languages, social studies, and language arts products. Most recently, she worked as the VP of Marketing for a technology startup that built a global social network for language learning.
Local activist
In the past few years she has become active in local politics as one of the leaders of Indivisible Glenview and as a volunteer for several political campaigns. She has also organized rallies in downtown Glenview supporting national causes such as immigration and the Mueller investigation. She is a member of the League of Women Voters in Glenview/Glencoe.
"Voters deserve a choice..."
When asked why she was running Wilson said, “I believe that giving our voters a choice of candidates with different voices and perspectives to represent them on the Village Board is a good thing for Glenview. Finally, voters have a choice to elect Trustees to the Board who were not selected by the small group that has run Glenview for 18 years. This can only benefit the residents.” She continued, “I love living in Glenview. We need to work together to build an environment that supports a vibrant business community, to maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming place for all residents, and to manage our growth both for today and in the future.”
